Overview of Services
The Spatial Biology Core (SBC) has the mission of bringing to the scientific community of UVA, and outside the grounds, the most modern research for studying cellular and molecular interactions in the spatial context of tissues and organs. The spatial analysis combines single-cell, spatial RNA sequencing, high-throughput microscopy, and quantitative image data analysis to enable large-scale spatial genomics and proteomics studies.
Our Core will offer the Spatial and Omics Analysis using:
Nanostring nCounter Barcode Readout, which provides a multiplex analysis of 800+ transcripts.
Isoplexis Chip Technology to analyze Single-Cell Secretome measures each immune cell's "Functional Phenotype," allowing for complete single-cell functional characterization and Bulk Cytokine analysis using CodePlex Chip, which offers High-Plex Immunoassays in very low sample volumes to access insights immediately.
In addition, we have a Cell Culture Laboratory space for training to support researchers who do not have their laboratory and to give support for all experimental development.
